The role

As you gain experience, you can expect to acquire a broad remit including:

  • Deployment and management of Windows and macOS workstations
  • Onboarding and offboarding of employees, contractors and guests
  • Monitoring of security compliance of all workstations and liaising with employees to remediate any issues
  • Backup and disaster recovery management and monitoring
  • Hardware maintenance
  • Providing 1st land 2nd line technical support to users
  • Scripting of automated tasks

Desirable Technical Skills

  • Experience of deploying macOS, Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Solid foundation in basic network services e.g. DNS, DHCP, WINS, Routing,
  • Providing 1st and 2nd line support to end users of Windows and macOS workstations
  • Knowledge of Python and Powershell scripting
  • CompTIA A+ and N+ qualifications

Candidate Requirements

  • A dynamic, dedicated and self- motivated individual who is keen to learn new skills
  • 0-2 years’ experience in a helpdesk / systems administration role
  • A demonstrable interest in IT and systems administration
  • a good degree (relevant subject preferred)
  • excellent organisational and communication skills


Salary : £23,000 – £28,000 (depending on experience)
