We’re delighted to welcome you to our Manchester offices as we host Manchester AI, a thriving and regular meet up of the local Data Science and Machine Learning Community.

This is a community building event where everyone from junior engineers to leaders & managers can come, and meet people within the same industry and listen to entertaining & informative talks.

Meet the SpeakerFarooq Ansari

Farooq has over 15 years experience in the tech industry across project management, product and commercial roles. He’s worked with clients ranging from startups to multinationals across a range of industries on projects spanning digital transformation, technology modernisation and innovation. Farooq has spoken at a number of conferences and panels across the country, and is an advocate of the tech scene in the North. He is based at Softwire’s Manchester office where he works with a range of clients with a focus on software and data engineering, generative AI and software modernisation. Farooq previously worked in the City as a finance and derivatives lawyer, before enjoying a stint at the BBC. Since then, he has also worked in a range of agencies and consultancies in Manchester and London before joining Softwire in 2022.

Meet the SpeakerOscar Richardson

Oscar is a senior software developer at Softwire with experience in developing GenAI applications. He will share insights about AI prompting and systems design from his experience leading a team of 5 developers to develop a unique chatbot in the nonprofit sector.
