Chris Willis

Chris is our Senior Delivery Director, part of Softwire’s executive team, with overall responsibility for ensuring the success of all client delivery work across the company.

With a career rooted in technical delivery, technical account management, and programme leadership, throughout his career, Chris has focused on driving complex and high-impact engagements. Notable highlights include leading a large-scale digital transformation for a major financial services provider, successfully guiding cross-functional teams to modernise systems and elevate customer experiences. His background spans both client and supplier roles across sectors such as healthcare, media, recruitment, and financial services sectors.

In his role, Chris leads the strategic oversight and governance of all Softwire delivery portfolios, ensuring consistently high standards and client satisfaction across the public and private sectors. Facilitating our teams in building and growing high-performing teams that are continually learning, improving, and focused on delivering value. Chris is passionate about cultivating a culture where people feel supported, trusted, and empowered to do their best work. As he puts it: “The best part of my job is when I talk to our clients, and they talk about all the great things they have achieved and delivered with the support of our teams.”

Outside of work, Chris enjoys exploring the outdoors with his family, getting stuck into a good book, and supporting England Rugby and Everton FC—however unpredictable their form may be.
