Agile Architecture | Data Jam 2025
Building data systems that keep pace with change
When technology and business priorities shift quickly, long-lived data architectures can become barriers instead of assets. Systems built to last often end up limiting your ability to adapt, experiment, and capture new opportunities. The organisations that progress fastest are those that design for change from the start.
Join Stuart Knowles, Senior Software Engineer at Softwire, at The Insurance Network’s Data Jam on 25th November for a workshop on why a shorter lifespan can make your data architecture stronger.
The case for ‘Short-lived Architecture’
Why and how agile iteration beats longevity in data and AI
This workshop looks at how to design data systems that are easy to adapt and replace. Stuart will explain how modern, modular designs help teams learn faster, deliver value sooner, and avoid being tied to outdated systems.
You’ll learn how to:
- See why long-lived architectures can limit your use of new AI tools and methods
- Use modern platforms to support quick changes and steady improvement
- Cut back on legacy dependencies that slow down projects
- Build a culture and structure that makes change easier
Speakers:
- Stuart Knowles, Senior Software Developer (Softwire)
- Matthew Widick, Head of Data Enablement (Compare the Market)
- Daivd Gee, Head of Data Operations (Tokio Marine Kiln)
