About Softwire

Softwire is a leading digital agency working with major clients to deliver exciting digital transformation projects. We were founded on one simple idea: to create the best possible environment for building quality software.

We do that by having great people who have the skills, experience, and intelligence to solve hard problems. But we also care about finding and developing people who believe in the same things we do:

  • That if a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well
  • That work should be fulfilling but can also be fun
  • That success comes from supporting and investing in each other

As a result of that, we’ve secured our spot on ‘The Best Companies to Work For’ listing for over a decade. Working at Softwire means you get to work with great people, on leading-edge projects, in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, refreshingly free of bureaucracy.

In brief

Senior Technical Leads are responsible for delivering great technical outcomes for our customers on project, supporting and developing their team, and contributing to the wider technical community at Softwire.

  • Guide the technical design and implementation of a system that helps match thousands of bone-marrow donors with suitable recipients for a national charity
  • Spearhead an early engagement with a financial institution struggling with a digital transformation, analysing the problem and establishing a plan to grow a team to drive improvement

You will take responsibility for broader success of our projects, engaging to resolve challenges both inside and outside the technical domain. You will form strong client relationships, working with them to define technical strategy as well as ensuring day-to-day project success.

You will mentor & motivate other Tech Leads and developers on the team, collaborate with the client’s technical and non technical stakeholders, and work closely with delivery leads to ensure our projects are delivered on time and in budget

You will use your technical skills to contribute beyond your project – sharing knowledge with other teams, and working closely with our presales team to lead the design of technical solutions for potential new clients.
